Mums supporting mums

Motherhood - made so much easier when we can speak openly of the hard without feeling guilty about expressing it.

Without feeling judged.

Without being made to feel that you don’t love your child as much as the next mother.

Without feeling like an awful mother.

Without feeling like you’re speaking ill of your own child, because you’re struggling in that moment.

Without ‘society’ looking at you with a raised brow, conjuring up assumptions about you as a person, as a mother.

Motherhood - feels so much more supportive when mamas are real, honest and share their ‘same here’ moments.

Lifting you with their understanding.

Healing you with their listening.

Crawling from their knees to their feet with you.

Pulling each other up with their ‘I get you’.

Standing arm in arm, saying ‘yes, going through the same thing or, ‘I’ve been there too, it gets better,

here’s what I tried’.

With your seasoned mamas that have long passed that stage and offer words of encouragement.

With love and support.

With a feeling of oneness and connection,

instead of judgement or loneliness.

Its the soft landing that’s needed in that moment that is so integral in many ways.

More than we’ll ever know.

Your words of encouragement or experience could be exactly what that mama needs to hear in that very moment.

Your sincere shoulder could change their lives.

Never underestimate that divine timing...
