In 2020, during the global pandemic, she began expressing her real and raw thoughts on early motherhood through poetry and prose. Entering motherhood was a re-birthing for Renée and allowed her to view the world in diverse ways. Renee shares the joys, challenges, and everything in between of motherhood on her quest to ensure every mother is understood.

'Mother Me' is Renée's premiere collection of Poetry, Prose, and more, featuring the virally shared poem, 'Yet you rise,' which was translated into several languages. Renée developed a love for writing at the age of 7, when she started journaling. When she's not writing, sharing stories, or caring for her two daughters, she hosts successful journaling workshops.

‘There is something so powerful, intentional and nostalgic about putting pen to paper’

Mother me.

Do you know what I am doing more of lately?

I am mothering me

Little by little, bit by bit, I am mothering me.

Whilst giving all of me to my little Darlings, I want my children to know that life does not stop forever when you become a parent or that what you want as a person does not matter anymore just because you have become a parent.

In fact, I feel like it is the opposite…I want to live, fully, wildly, awake and honestly!

I want to stuff up, give things a go, make new friends, meet new people, I want to be wrong, learn lessons, create, and be inspired.

I want to be happy with just being.

I do not want to just exist and some days, I absolutely feel like I am barely doing that and that is okay too… it is… but I want them to know that I care about me too and I care about me even more so because I care about them so very much…

And so, I continue to mother me, because the little girl inside of me, deserves to be mothered too.

I’m Renee, most people call me Ren.

Firstly, thank you for being here, I’m so thrilled to have you!

Get lost in a world of poetry and musings on all things Motherhood.

“Renee’s pieces are real, honest and from the heart. They allow me to feel seen, heard and understood. It’s as if she puts into words exactly how I feel and is often the timely message I need”. Words from a devoted reader.

‘Motherhood;

Exhausted, yet you rise

Overwhelmed, yet you persevere

Frustrated, yet you try again

Tired, yet you smile

Unsure, yet you follow your gut…’
